Welcome!
My professional background in cartography and map design is from both academic training at University of California and years of custom map work experience. You have probably used many of my maps over the years without knowing it. With seventeen years of professional experience with Thomas Brothers Maps, Rand McNally and as a contracted cartographer, I have learned how to make maps that are functional, informative and beautiful. I also have learned how to edit GIS map data quickly and accurately for clients needing custom data for their GIS projects and customers.
My work experience includes working on both large and small mapping projects with customers such as Southern California Edison, LA Dept. of Water and Power, Sempra, L.A. Unified School District, Cox Communications, and Grubb & Ellis. And many of my new stock base maps can be found on one of the largest retail map sites on the web - Digital Vector Maps.
Currently, we offer my custom map experience to publishers, authors, organizations and anyone else that needs high quality maps and data. I strive to create maps that are easy to understand, accessible, and specific to your needs and I will work with you to gather your ideas into a well-designed and useful map. I also use “non-copyrighted” data from a variety of local, state, and National Government Agencies to keep costs down. And I am constantly updating an in-house data library of coverages that are used frequently to output our custom maps.
